The Return of Christ
We believe that the return of Jesus Christ, as repeatedly promised in the Holy Scripture, is close at hand. The promise came from the lips of our Lord Himself:
John 14: 1-3
"…and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also."
Our Lord emphasized that we should watch for the signs of the times:
Matthew 24: 32-47
"So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the door. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled."
In book of Luke, we are also told about the events predicted for the end time:
Luke 21: 28-36
"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near."
The day or the hour of His return, of course, cannot be known, but as Bible prophecies come to fulfilment, we view them as signs in the end time predicted by our Lord and currently taking place.
The Apostle Peter writes:
2 Peter 1: 16-21
"For we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ…"
In book of 2nd Peter, we are informed in advance:
2 Peter 3: 3
"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming…?'"
In verse 9, he gives the answer:
2 Peter 3: 9
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

The return of Jesus Christ is identical to the first resurrection. The heavenly Bridegroom will take His earthly Bride home.
Matthew 25: 1-10
1 Thessalonians 4: 13-17
Revelation 19: 1-9
Before the Millennial Reign commences, the martyrs from the tribulation period will be added:
Revelation: 20: 4-6
"Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection; on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."
The second resurrection will occur after the one-thousand-year reign of Christ when all people who ever lived on earth will be summoned to the last judgment (Rev. 20:11).
Thereafter, God Himself will create the new heavens and the new earth:
Revelation 21: 1-8
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away… And He that sat upon the throne said: Behold, I make all things new."
